However, although their outstanding audio performance and class-leading ANC wowed us throughout our time with these Best Wireless Headphones, they were let down by their exorbitant pricing and lack of compatibility for Hi-Res Audio codecs.
What’s perplexing here is that, despite their premium price, the AirPods Max aren’t specifically geared towards audiophiles. They’d have a 3.5mm audio port if they were. Instead, we feel that these headphones are aimed directly at consumers who are already invested in the Apple ecosystem, as they are packed with useful functions for iOS users and have an unmistakable ‘Apple’ look.

The Elite 45h, however, do not feel exceptional due to the plastic and little cushioning on the headband.
